As a kid, before I spent my time writing stories and poems, I learned drawing and painting with water colours at a local art school. I was fascinated by the human face: looking at it, drafting it. Went ahead and collected tons of magazines, being both appealed and put off by the sometimes dreamy, sometimes bold aesthetics of 90s and 00s fashion photography. Researching images and collaging-painting on paper was on my mind, and with my dressing doll "Rosemarie" I developed the passion further, applying lights, cutouts and other meaningful things onto her corset. A while ago, my teenage friend "Evecrossingborders" got a tattoo, depicting "Rosemarie" in her unforgettable glory. If Eve is so full of appreciation of my old dressing doll icon, a real life synonym for my creative freedom, if she reembodies "Rosie" onto her own body – I thought – it is about time to cherish my craft and bring it to light again.
